Product Notes
The Fabulous Thunderbirds guitarist Johnny Moeller's playing is full of voodoo and lighting. "I've never really tried to emulate anybody else," he explains. "I have my own thing, which is blues based, and then I like to mix in everything else. I love: soul, jazz, funk and rock 'n' roll. " Bloogaloo features a combination of Johnny's unique originals and his takes on songs by Earl King, Frankie Lee Sims and John Lee Hooker. In addition to Bloogaloo, Johnny has two previous discs to his credit: 1996's Return of the Funky Worm and 2001's Johnny's Blues Aggregation. The album features vocal performances by T-bird leader Kim Wilson, Austin based Lou Ann Barton and Shawn Pittman. Ads planned for Blues Revue, Living Blues and regional blues societies.
