Product Notes
The Born To Run 50th Anniversary Japan Edition is a limited three‑disc set featuring an SA‑CD Hybrid and two Blu‑Spec CD2 discs, packaged in a 7‑inch gatefold paper jacket with mini‑LP sleeves, dual front‑and‑rear obi strips, and a gold hype sticker, and includes commentary, lyrics, translations, and a bonus poster. This edition pairs the first Japan‑produced SACD Hybrid of Born To Run with two discs capturing a complete December 12, 1975 performance from the historic Born To Run Tour at Long Island University's C.W. Post campus-recorded in high‑quality multitrack audio and known as the source of the officially released live version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." The concert showcases six songs from the newly released album at the time, opening with a piano rendition of "Thunder Road, " featuring the debut performance of "It's My Life, " and culminating in powerful versions of "Detroit Medley" and "Quarter To Three." Newly mixed from the original 24‑track analog masters using the latest Plangent Process, this edition faithfully recreates the iconic cover in a 7‑inch mini‑LP sleeve with a replica of the first Japanese LP obi, and includes a 40‑page booklet with liner notes by Igarashi, commentary on the live discs by Eric Flanigan, and translator's notes by Miura.
