With carnival time - then Mid-Lent-, fast approaching, Lusafrica presents an EP of 4 tracks by Cesaria Evora. They have been completely rerecorded (only the vocals are the same) in the style of the Mindelo carnival held on the island of São Vicente in Cabo Verde, where Cesaria lived until she passed away on December 17, 2011. It is extraordinary to hear her magical voice again, backed by extremely festive new arrangements from Hernani Almeida. One of the best guitarists and musicians on the Cabo-Verdean scene today, Hernani also produced Elida Almeida's two albums. So let's dance with Cesaria and may the carnival bring joy to all!
