Cheb Bilal, whose real name is Moufok Bilal, is an Algerian raï singer born on July 23, 1966 in Cherchell. He began his musical career in the 80s as a backing singer for Cheb Khaled and Cheb Faudel. In 1991, he released his first album, "Babor LI Jebni", which proved a great success. Since then, he has released numerous albums and become one of the most popular Raï singers in Algeria and the Arab world. His songs deal with themes such as love, betrayal, family, society and politics. In addition to his musical career, Cheb Bilal is also known for his social and humanitarian commitment.
