The Chromotones write and record educational songs for kids and adults. The concepts are directed at children age 8 and up but the songs seem to resonate with children ages 4 through 6. Please listen to the sound clips. If your sick of the Wiggles and you seek to stimulate your child's imagination then this is the CD for you. Island of Life is the first CD from the Chromotones. Island of Life is a collection of 10 songs about topics in life science. Songs discuss Linneaus and taxonomy, bullfrogs, the scientific method, chromosomes, chlorophyll, and more. Kids will become familiar with some basic concepts which will hopefully spark their interest in science. Each song is humorously introduced by the characters Dr. Fish-in-turtle and Slug. Kids love this CD!
