Riccardo Muti - "Complete Recordings on Philips & Deutsche Grammophon". Riccardo Muti stands among the most authoritative and uncompromising musical voices of the late 20th & early 21st centuries. This comprehensive limited-edition box set brings together his complete recordings for Philips & Deutsche Grammophon and spans over three decades (1983-2019). Contained within are performances that reflect a conductor equally at home in symphonic, operatic and concert repertoire. Across this repertoire (from Beethoven and Brahms to Puccini, Rossini, and Bruckner) Muti's interpretations reveal a rare balance of intellectual rigor and expressive power. In addition to the 33 CDs in the set there are 4 DVDs, including a performance of Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto with Claudio Arrau, which receives it's first DVD release. Original jackets and a fascinating note by Andrew Stewart complete this highly desirable set in a lift-off lid box.
