Electric Music for the Mind And Body was the first genuine Psychedelic long player to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area Rock scene. This album was the first where the sound in the grooves matched the new frontier philosophies of the 1960s generation. Berkeley-based Country Joe McDonald's itinerant band of ex-folkies and rock neophytes forged an unsurpassed blend of satirical humor and socio-political insight with some of the most poignant, beautiful sounds.
