Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. After leaving the Virgin label, and a one-off album with Chrysalis, Simple Minds took stock and decided to make records for themselves. After an album of cover versions of songs dear to Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, Neon Lights, was released in October 2001, the band went straight back into the studio to record an album of new compositions. Cry was released in April 2002, and was recorded in Glasgow, with further recordings made in Sicily with Italian musicians. It features the hit single "Cry" as well as "Spaceface", "New Sunshine Morning" and "One Step Closer".
