The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival to a boisterous crowd and critical acclaim. The music-driven comedy contains several dance numbers and introduces the world to the Sambola! International Dance Craze. It features a stylish and retro score by Mark Suozzo and Adam Schlesinger. Another musical highlight is the Gershwin adaptation Things are Looking up! With actors singing and dancing on screen. The film toured the festival circuit very successfully.
