This world-premiere release unites elite classical artistry with Hollywood blockbuster prestige, bringing together internationally acclaimed cellist Gautier Capuçon and legendary composer Danny Elfman. The album is centred around Elfman's brand-new Cello Concerto, written specifically for Capuçon through a uniquely collaborative, director-style creative process. Anchoring the album's crossover reach is a collection of fresh, virtuoso cello arrangements by pianist Jérôme Ducros, featuring Elfman's most iconic film and television themes, including Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Simpsons, Spider-Man, and Good Will Hunting. "I've known Danny's music for a long time, and I love his way of writing," Gautier says. "Danny's music is so personal, so creative, so inspired. He is always himself, but always exploring."
