There are few sounds in old time music more beautiful than the strange melding of the disparate voices of Darby and Tarlton over the smooth tones of Tarlton's slide guitar. These two country singers recorded scores of 78s as a duo during the '20s and '30s and embraced the style of rural blues singers to wonderful effect.
