1970s chase movie directed by John Hough and starring Peter Fonda and Susan George. The only thing stopping aspiring NASCAR driver Larry Rayder (Fonda) and his mechanic Deke Sommers (Adam Roarke) breaking into the professional racing circuit is their severe lack of funding. Seeing crime as the only option available to them, they decide to rob a grocery store. All goes to plan until the duo, now joined by Larry's one-night stand Mary (George), find themselves on the run from the relentless sheriff Everett Franklin (Vic Morrow). Can they escape their pursuers and keep the cash?
