That's exactly what the Miami-based chanteuse Emma Stackhaus proved when she released her debut album, "I Will Never Give Up," back in May of 2020 to overwhelmingly positive reviews from both industry insiders and the public alike. Emma also released a special holiday album, "Have Yourself A Magically Delicious Christmas" at the end of that year. While in preparation for her eagerly awaited follow-up full-length due in the near future, Emma has recorded a few cover songs to tide fans over while she adds the finishing touches to her upcoming album. The new single featured here, "Free Love," is a lovingly rendered cover of Jean Carne's 1976 soul disco manifesto. Since Jean Carne has long been one of Emma's greatest influences, Emma made sure to deliver the tune with a great respect for the original while bringing something entirely new to the mix.
