Product Notes
Beat Records Company is glad to present the expanded version of the original motion picture soundtrack of the movies L'Anticristo (Alberto de Martino 1973), featuring the music by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai and Sepolta Viva (Aldo Lado, 1974) by Ennio Morricone, already available in the classic Collector Releases series, out of production since a while. This album, very popular among the two composer's fans offers two OSTs realized for excellent movies, the first, on the Excorcist (William Friedkin, 1973) trail, revisits the theme of demonic possession through the Italian cultural filter while the second, based on the homonymous novel by Marie Eugénie Saffray, is a nice historical drama, much in fashion in the early 70s. Music by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai (concerning L'Anticristo) describe with usual skill vicissitudes and atmospheres creating through pentagram a class emotional counterpart up to nowadays available in an incomplete version, thanks to the old CDCR17 release in our catalogue, now finally complete in this expanded version for all film music lovers who would like to enjoy 30 more minutes of unreleased music. The CD is now available again in the classic CR series as a jewelcase release featuring a 12 pages booklet filled with Fabio Babini's liner notes and Daniele de Gemini's artwork, mastering by Enrico de Gemini. On the cover the orginal artwork, up to nowadays unreleased, realized by Sandro Symeoni, commissioned by Franco de Gemini. The two drawings painted by the Ferrara artist, since a while in our archives, now finally released in order to fulfill their original scope: an expanded version of these two soundtracks, as conceived many years ago by the popular harmonica player and historical Beat Records Company admin.
