This re-issue was recorded after Carmen Bradford spent nine years on the road with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. She also recorded with George Benson among others, but it was her years with the Basie band that gave her the confidence and assurance to make this powerful solo debut. She is backed by a 10-piece orchestra on this exceptional CD that had previously received extremely limited distribution.
