Formed in Essen in 1981, Mad Butcher helped shape the German heavy metal scene, sharing the stage with icons such as SODOM, HELLOWEEN, SLAYER, and EXODUS. Their debut album, Metal Lightning Attack (1985), is a landmark of speed metal, blending aggressive riffs with themes of violence and metal, followed by their second album, Metal Meat (1987), cementing their place in the vibrant German scene.

After parting ways with Metal Enterprises Records, the band recorded Flesh & Blood in late 1988 - raw, untamed, and brimming with the band's defiant spirit. Long thought lost when the master tapes disappeared, this snapshot of Germany's heavy metal glory days has now been painstakingly restored for true die-hard fans.

This long-awaited vinyl edition comes as a limited collector's release, with brand new artwork inspired by the Mad Butcher's original vision. A true piece of German heavy metal history, revived for the underground faithful!
