Gary Allan is a singer/songwriter whose style of country music originated in his native California (think Merle Haggard's Bakersfield and Buck Owens move there in the 50s). Allan is a veteran honky-tonk student with a sensitive side. As a young teen, he played in bars with his dads band and learned the ropes. Nashville answered his call and he debuted on record in the latter part of the 90s.
