Ghost Town Gold

The second entry in what would grow into a wildly popular series of Western Three Mesquiteers B-Movies produced by Republic Pictures, Ghost Town Gold tracks the titular trio as they attempt to recover the gold stolen by a gang in it's effort to ruin the bank/mayor who ordered them to leave town. Frequent John Wayne collaborator Joseph Kane adds his signature directorial panache to this rousing shoot-em-up, setting the tone for a film series that was so rampantly successful, it spawned 50 sequels and a host of imitators from rival studios.
