The songs of the band's fourth and finest LP were initially meant as a soundtrack to the screenplay that TIm Kasher started writing in 2006. These songs seemed to describe moments of raw emotions more than chronicle a linear tale, so the group kept them as close to their original incarnations as possible, recording them true to form. The results are more stripped down and threadbare than previous Good Life creations. Yet the songs are also quite expansive, digging into deep emotional territory through narrative and melody.
