For over 50 years the Gregg Smith Singers have been performing American contemporary choral music and are one of the most recorded classical choirs in the world. They are regarded as both leaders and innovators. The dynamic conductor and his brilliant vocal ensemble have won their present high rank among the great musical groups of the world because they are typical, not of the ensembles which concentrate on compositions of the nineteenth century, but of those who have shattered the provincialisms of the world of sound.
