Duos for Oboe & Piano

Following her highly-praised Mozart CD with GENUIN, Jennifer Lim now reveals herself to be a sensitive chamber music partner, joining with exceptional young oboist Katherine Needleman, who is making her GENUIN debut. The program features a compelling combination of some of the essential pillars of the oboe repertoire (Schumann and Poulenc) as well as an exciting rediscovery, the Suite by Pavel Haas. Katherine Needleman plays the first recording of David Ludwig's Pléaden with particular commitment, a sonata in seven movements dedicated to her. What all of these works have in common is a message of hope, interpreted at the highest level - very highly recommended!
