Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Kate James & Lost Country have placed years of songwriting and performing experience into their freshman release, "Heartbreaker, Homewrecker." This disc combines the sound of those age-old gems by Merle, Patsy and Johnny as brought to the world years ago. Blending each member's unique musical talents, the band presents a fresh approach to music that can no longer be heard on radio. In 2003, the band, then named Kate & the Retreads, were voted Atlanta's best country band of the year. Their music is not a throw-back, but respects and honors the past. Their style recreates what traditional music is supposed to be, honest and heartfelt.
