Life Cried grabs you by the balls and never let's go! Their tour de force of brutal sonic assaults and relentless aggression is, however, tempered by an almost tender, vulnerable sensibility. The band's new album, If I Don't Wake Up, merges heavy electronics with alternative/metal elements and transcends the industrial genre without ending up in the NuMetal Ghetto. Chris Reject manages to express his fear and anguish through a surprisingly undistorted voice. His pain is real and heartfelt, and blends perfectly with the powerful tracks that give him the dramatic backdrop for his performance.
