Behind every one of the 70 million Irish lives around the globe, there stretches a centuries-old history of exodus, hope and fierce struggle to establish a life in foreign lands. This landmark documentary series takes a look at what has come to be known as the 'Irish Diaspora' examining the history of emigration and the impact which emigrants have had in their adopted countries. This series contains 5 full-length programs and was filmed throughout Europe, North America and Australia. The programs include: The Scattering, Building of the World, a World Apart, Keeping the Faith and Dreams of Home.
