Product Notes
Limited 20th Anniversary 180gm transparent vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket with metallic embossing. Includes eight page booklet, poster and print/replica of historical newspaper frontpage. Original soundtrack to the 1997 motion picture composed by James Horner. Includes the Academy Award winning song "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. Titanic is an epic romance-disaster film directed, written, co- produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during it's ill-fated maiden voyage. Upon it's release on December 19, 1997, Titanic achieved critical and commercial success. Nominated for fourteen Academy Awards, it tied with All About Eve (1950) for the most Oscar nominations, and won eleven, including the awards for Best Picture and Best Director, tying Ben Hur (1959) for the most Oscars won by a single film. With an initial worldwide gross of over $1. 84 billion, Titanic was the first film to reach the billion-dollar mark. Besides all the prices and awards for the movie, the score itself won the following awards: Academy Award for Best Original Dramatic Score and for Best Original Song ("My Heart Will Go On"), Golden Globe for Best Original Score and for Best Original Song ("My Heart Will Go On"), Satellite Award for Best Original Score and for Best Original Song ("My Heart Will Go On"), Brit Award for Best Score, Blockbuster Entertainment Awards Favorite for Song from a Movie ("My Heart Will Go On"), Brit Award for Best Soundtrack, Chicago Film Critics Association for Best Original Score and four Grammy Awards for "My Heart Will Go On".
