Originally recorded in 1972, “As Jimmy Is” pairs the iconic bluesman Jimmy Reed’s vocals, guitar and harmonica with a crack studio band containing some of the finest players to ever grace a recording including legendary blues guitarists Wayne Bennett and Eddie Taylor, Phil Upchurch on bass and Al Duncan on drums. This rare album, recorded at Columbia studios in Chicago, is finally available in the digital domain with all selections newly remastered.
