Widowed judge William "Billy" Priest (Will Rogers), a proud Confederate veteran, uses old-fashioned horse sense to bestow justice in a small town in the Post-Bellum Kentucky. He also has time to play matchmaker for his lovelorn nephew! With a tremendous cast of characters, including Tom Brown, Anita Louise, Stepin Fetchit, and Hattie McDaniel, this amusing tale was directed by four time Oscar Winner John Ford (The Grapes of Wrath, The Searchers) and as it's original tagline boasted, has enough laughs to make your head spin!
