The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz was always one to interpret and make hit singles from some of the greatest contemporary writers of the time like Harry Nilsson, Neil Diamond, Neil Sedaka and Carole King. In 2010 he put together a tribute album to Carole King and called it “King For A Day”

The 14 song masterwork includes her biggest hits sung by her dear friend Micky Dolenz like The Animals “Don’t Bring Me Down”, The Drifters “Up On The Roof” The 4 seasons “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” and even The Monkees “Sometime in The Morning”

The CD has been out of print for several years now, but Friday Music is very pleased to announce the first time ever vinyl LP version of “King For A Day” by Micky Dolenz.

Produced by The Beach Boys’ Jeff Foskett and Gary Griffin and Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (The Monkees/Brian Wilson/Micky Dolenz) from the Gigatone recordings, this amazing album will be also pressed on Super Limited Red Velvet Vinyl fit for a King.
