Paris doctor Maurice Lamar (Cary Grant) can transform any woman into a model of feminine perfection. After his latest creation, Eve (Genevieve Tobin), goes from a plain-Jane wife to the pinnacle of beauty, her jealous husband Marcel (Edward Everett Horton) divorces her and names Maurice as co-respondent. After the doctor marries Eve, her vanity nearly drives him insane and he must find a way to win back the torch-bearing secretary (Helen Mack) he truly loves (who has quit to marry Marcel)!
