Having been fully impressed by this German band's first record (also on Jigsaw) - not to mention the fact that the debut album from Hans' earlier band, Seaside Stars, stands as one of the best janglepop albums of this century! - it was pretty much a no-brainer that I'd be involved in their follow-up. Once again, Hanemoon have served up a dozen perfect midtempo jangly guitarpop hits in the style of later Teenage Fanclub, Dropkick or Cosmic Rough Riders, with the utmost attention given to melody and harmony. I've always found Hans Forster to be one of the better powerpop songwriters around today, and this album only provides more proof!
