Following the exit of Captain Daniel Ross (Eric Bogosian) at the beginning of Season 9, Detective Zoe Callas (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) and Detective Serena Stevens (Saffron Burrows) step in to join Detective Zack Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) for the series' penultimate Ninth Year. Premiering on NBC in 2001 and lasting 10 seasons, Law & Order: Criminal Intent is the second spin-off of the highly successful crime drama series Law & Order and focuses on the criminal justice system from the criminal's point of view.
