After being released from an institution, a young woman (Zohra Lampert) is brought by her husband (Barton Heyman) to a Connecticut farmhouse for a therapeutic change of scenery. However, starting with the odd young woman (Mariclare Costello) they find squatting within-and allow to stay-disturbing phenomena crop up that threaten to break her tenuous grip on sanity.
