Lilies of the Field

Sidney Poitier earned the Best Actor Academy Award for his role in this beloved, understated drama. After encountering a group of nuns while travelling through the Arizona desert, amiable wanderer Homer Smith (Poitier) is coerced into building a farmhouse for them for free.
