As leaders of the downtown Kingston music scene in Jamaica, Andrew "Bassie"Campbell, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, "Chinna" Smith, Obeah, and Mikey "Boo" stepped into Bob Marley's Tuff Gong Studio on (what was the day? Ask Bassie) and from 9am to midnight these musicians created "Live and Direct." This is an instrumental and Dub album under the guidance of producer/bassist Andrew Campbell, the mastermind behind "Mr. Bassman All-Stars" (YTR-1224) and the coming generation of Jamaican music. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered exclusively in Jamaica and features the original Luciano / King David "Hills and Valleys" rhythm.
