Originally planning to record only one CD, pianist Hod O'Brien ended up recording enough material to fill two CDs during two exhilarating performances at Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. on July 6th and 7th, 2004. This 61 minute CD contains the "first set" on July 6th - it features O'Brien's reunion with bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Kenny Washington. This CD is a program of seldom heard Jazz classics including "Nothing Like You Has Ever Been Seen Before," "Frog's Legs," "Thespian," "It's Love," "Lullaby of the Leaves," "Tangerine" and others.
