Tenor saxophonist Frank Catalano was only 19 years old when his debut CD came out (1998's "Cut It Out"). Jazz Times said "Catalano impresses you with his mature, swinging improvisation." His second album was a tandem tenor session co-led with veteran Von Freeman ("You Talkin' to Me?"). Down Beat said "they play as if they are about to burst... stunning." Now, still young in years at 23, Frank presents his third Delmark CD with help from Randy Brecker on trumpet, bassist Larry Novak and drummer Paul Wertico.
