Product Notes

Triple vinyl LP pressing. Iconic space rock pioneers Hawkwind are set to release their latest live album, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, capturing their electrifying performance at the world-famous venue on Friday 29th September 2023. This new live release follows the band's latest critically acclaimed album Stories From Time And Space, cementing their place at the forefront of the space rock genre. Hawkwind delivered an unforgettable set, blending tracks from their celebrated 2023 studio album The Future Never Waits, along with selections from their expansive back catalogue that have thrilled audiences for decades. Highlights from the night include performances of fan favourites like Levitation, Spirit Of The Age, Master Of The Universe and Assault And Battery. This release, presented as a triple vinyl set (released in January 2025), showcases Hawkwind's mastery of live performance. The set-list spans their rich discography; alongside their legendary tracks are more recent fan favourites including The Future Never Wait's Rama (The Prophecy) and the then unheard Underwater City - later recorded for their 2024 studio album Stories From Time And Space. As always, Hawkwind's line-up delivers a powerful sonic journey. Joining Dave Brock on stage are longtime band members Richard Chadwick (drums), Magnus Martin (guitar/vocals), Doug MacKinnon (bass), and Tim "Thighpaulsandra" Lewis (synths/keyboards), whose collective musicianship ignited the Royal Albert Hall's iconic stage. The audience were also treated to a surprise guest appearance from Arthur Brown, who provided poetry readings between songs and other cosmic entertainment. Hawkwind continue to captivate new and old fans alike. Live at the Royal Albert Hall is another testament to the band's enduring legacy and their ability to push the boundaries of space rock, all while staying true to their roots. Be prepared to embark on a sonic voyage unlike any other as Hawkwind take you back to one of their most monumental performances yet.
