For Perception Shift /A, Barich worked his way through the Altin Village & Mine catalog: Skeletons' "All I Want is You", Phoebe Killdeer & The Shift's "Let's Talk A Good Story", Urban Homes' "Tropical Jam", and Sven Kacirek's "Turkey Dance". Barich gently, but decisively, reworks their grooves into a collection of reverberating, feathery tracks that take cues from minimal music as well as house. He spreads Skeletons' "All I Want is You" into a polyrhythmic synth meditation, and the Sven Kacirek rework layers the original's percussive grooves into a melancholic house number.
