2014 release from the Lithuanian accordionist. Martynas' self-titled album is a fun, energy-filled exploration of a forgotten instrument. The album, produced by David Garrett's producer John Haywood, is set to break boundaries and introduce Martynas to a potentially vast new audience. Jaw-dropping arrangements of rich classics, gypsy dances to contemporary pop covers showcase the virtuoso accordionists musical and expressive range. Versions of Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' and Brahms' 'Fifth Hungarian Dance' show that pop and classical audiences can hold hands. Refreshing interpretations of pop-icon Katy Perry's 'Hot N Cold' sit alongside Verdi's 'La Forza Del Destino'. Martynas performs a tantalizing duet of Carlos Gardel's 'Tango Por una cabeza' with German superstar violinist David Garrett and sings as well as plays on 'Nossa Nossa', a hot and exciting Brazilian song, inspiring you to dance.
