Mayada Al-Hennawi, born in 1959 in Aleppo, Syria, is an iconic Syrian singer in the Arab music world. She was discovered by the legendary composer Mohamed Abdel Wahab, who dubbed her "The Singer of the Era" (Mutribat Al-Asr). Her unique style and powerful voice made her one of the leading figures in Arabic music during the 1980s and 1990s.
