Description
In Season Five, single mom Christy Plunkett (Anna Faris) continues to take it one day at a time while fighting for her dreams, despite life's many challenges. Not the least of which is her mother, Bonnie (Emmy and Academy Award winner Allison Janney). With their past mistakes firmly behind them, mother and daughter hilariously try to make up for lost time and get their lives back on track. Bonnie starts to get cold feet as Adam (William Fichtner) seeks to bring their romance to the next level, while Christy balances her hectic school schedule, work, and blossoming social life which, of course, results in the occasional misstep. Meanwhile, their support system, Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy), Jill (Jaime Pressly) and Wendy (Beth Hall), face their own setbacks, and Christy considers getting a new sponsor. There's family, fun and dysfunction in this comedy from Chuck Lorre that pulls no punches.
