Product Notes

Lalo Schifrin is a musician who wears many hats. As a pianist, composer and conductor, he is equally at home conducting a symphony orchestra, performing at an international Jazz festival, scoring a film or television show, creating works for Placido Domingo or the London Philharmonic or arranging the finale of the 'Three Tenors' Concert for Zubin Mehta. His relationship with the legendary Jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie began in the late 1950s and over the years, he performed and recorded regularly with Gillespie and other Jazz greats. He is perhaps best-known for the award-winning film and television scores he has penned, such as Mission Impossible, Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt, and the Fox.
