Product Notes
Italian actor-director Gianni di Gregorio returns to filmmaking with NEVER TOO LATE FOR LOVE, a tender and lighthearted romantic comedy set against the backdrop of Italy's southern countryside. After being evicted from his long-time apartment in Rome, retired professor Astolfo returns to his childhood village in southern Italy, where a distinguished yet run-down estate has been passed down in his family for generations. Any plans for a quiet retirement are derailed when he discovers a squatter living on his family's estate and begins to clash with the community in a series of brilliant comedic misadventures. But as Astolfo builds unlikely friendships with this idiosyncratic new cast of characters and falls for a charming local woman (Stefania Sandrelli), NEVER TOO LATE FOR LOVE's comedy of manners gives way to a generous portrait of aging, friendship, love, and the possibility of second chances.
