Product Notes
John English's love of music and his desire to entertain and educate children draw upon a half century of performing styles ranging from classical, folk, and religious, to jazz, rock, and children's music. He performed and recorded with the Swingin' Medallions until leaving to teach music. John has been an artist with the South Carolina Arts Commision since 1987. He has recorded four solo albums; '123, Sing Along With Me' was featured in the rave reviews section of Sesamee Street Parents Magazine. John was a Semifinalist in Savannah Onstage's 1999 Enmark American Traditions Vocal Competion and was selected as one of three audience favorites to perform in a cabaret show during the 2000 Festival. In review of this show Savannah Morning News Critic Gene Downs noted...'English's delicious baritone, as rich as freshly ground Columbian coffee...' 'One of the most outstanding male voices to come along in years.'-P.J. Birosik-Musik International.
