When a young British woman witnesses a murder in New York, she flees to London. Gang members who perpetrated the killing follow her aboard an ocean liner and frame her for robbery. After she is released from prison, she learns that an innocent man has been convicted of the murder and is seeking her out as a witness. She then secretly boards a luxury flight back to New York, known as "The Lisbon Clipper."
