Throughout the history of music, love and all it's ups and downs is a prominent theme-and thus also within the madrigal, a genre that originated in 16th-century Italy and is characterised by tremendous expressiveness. Madrigals can move people to tears or lead them to heavenly happiness. The collaboration between the ensembles Delle Donne Consort and Paradise Repaired sheds new light on this emotional repertoire that has remained relatively unknown in our regions.
