Also in the cards are being able to travel from Los Angeles to Tokyo in just 45 minutes or celebrating your birthday in an orbiting space hotel. These are examples of companies around the world using cutting-edge science to develop business in space as we head towards a multi-planetary species. The huge reduction of launching costs (for example reusable rockets) as well as the development of the nanosat technology is causing a radical shift in the space industry, the so-called NewSpace revolution. The revolution will disrupt not only the aerospace industry but also communications, the internet, tourism, the power industry, manufacturing and mining, and life as we know it.
