Berlin-based producer Jor Mulder signed Oomph! In 1990 to his electro label Machinery Records. It's only natural the self-titled album first caught on with the EBM / electro scene, but since Oomph! #worked with rock influences and catchy songwriting right from the start, just one scene soon became much too small for the trio.
