Product Notes
... continuing from our first Little Jimmy Dickens box, this set includes all of his Columbia recordings from 1957 to 1966. Altogether, there are 95 songs on 4 CDs, including the complete contents of rare Fifties and Sixties albums like 'Big Songs', 'Handle With Care, 'Big Man In Country Music', and 'Out Behind The Barn'. There are also Dickens classics and longtime crowd-pleasers like I Got A Hole In My Pocket, Another Bridge To Burn, When The Ship Hit The Sand, Life Turned Her That Way, and When Your House Is Not A Home. The years from 1957 to 1966 also yielded spirited remakes of earlier hits like We Could and Out Behind The Barn, as well as the international pop and country smash hit May The Bird Of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose. The 44-page book includes many incredible photos from Little Jimmy Dicken's personal albums as well as his song-by-song recollections and a full, newly-researched biography by WSM announcer Eddie Stubbs
