The opening single, 'circus' is a danceable pop tune with a looping piano melody, bouncing rhythm section, and cool vocals. It is a next-generation pop anthem and a representative song of the band that lightly sings about the sadness of living in the city. The cover of Chara's 'Koi Wo Shita' was reworked into a more danceable and lush arrangement, while maintaining the acidic and mellow groove of the original song. Manami Nezu's elongated and emotional vocals give this cover a new charm that differs from the original version. The album also features seven other classic songs, including 'rinse in shampoo,' a music video song depicting a bitter adult romance, and 'flashback,' a dramatic mid-tune that combines the sensual arrangements of 70's soul with the beat sensibility of D'Angelo and his later works.
